Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally, by Adopting a Pet

How Owning a Pet Will Lower Your Blood Pressure Research shows that , unless you’re someone that really doesn’t care for animals or maybe too busy for one, pets can provide excellent social support, stress relief and other health benefits that you won’t believe.

Depression and anxiety are very real ailments that so many people deal with regularly. But, did you know that people who do not own a pet are three times more likely to report symptoms of depression and

anxiety.

Something about that sweet loving look of a puppy begging for your love or a super-soft kitten as he rubs against your hand.

Owning a pet lowers blood pressure better than any prescription medication can. In fact this was researched by a group of studies in New York, they all had high blood pressure, but only half purchased pets, after six months the one’s that had purchased the pets had very noticable lower blood pressure but the others still had high blood pressure. After this test the other half purchased pets also.

Pets provide you with unconditional love. They will love you in ways that maybe people can’t. In fact, research shows that in the nursing home the residents reported less loneliness when visited by dogs then when they were visited by other family members. Dogs don’t see you as some pitiful person. They love you regardless of your looks or style.

We all need a little exercise but getting motivated is kind of hard at times, but having that pet jumping around to go outside for his “potty time” encourages you to do a little of the walking too. The more you walk together the happier you both will be.

You know sometimes we forget the simple things in life, getting stressed out in our day to day job struggles, it is really nice to come home and have your little pet so happy to see you. Maybe you have a little dog that runs around with his “chewy” or your Cat rolling on his back in hope of a scratch. You have to smile and realize that there is more to life then work.
