My blood pressure is usually 148 over 90. Is this Super large?
One doctor told me that 145 was the cut sour for normal and he wasnt going to verbs about 3 points.
Answers: The systolic (higher) number is not as critical as the diastolic (lower) number. Most competent medical personnel are or should be aware that a diastolic of 90 is borderline big. While not as likely to effect a hemorrhagic stroke as numbers higher, it is still inflicting harm to the smaller vessels within your body, a little at a time.
If this is the solely reading you have ever gotten, it should own been repeated at smallest one more time while you be being examined.
Some nation have “white coat” hypertension, which is transient and seem to be only demonstrable at the doctor’s bureau. When you see one of the free blood pressure machines at the grocery or pharmacy, take your BP. They are amazingly accurate. If your diastolic stays that glorious every time you take it, you really ought to consider taking meds to carry it lower. Blood pressure does fluctuate somewhat, so you need to know what yours runs, on average, surrounded by non-stressful situations. Ask Santa for a sphygmomanometer for Christmas and learn to cart your own.
Chronic hypertension is indolent, and silent in the defacement it inflicts, until it is too late. Fortunately, we live within an age when that is inherent, and can be circumvented.
You said ONE doctor. What have other doctors said roughly speaking your BP?
Usually it’s supposed to be your age plus 100 for the systolic up to 145. I think it’s to some extent high. But hey, my everyday is 98/64. my blood pressure is 130 pounds per square inch. no i really used a tire pressure thingy 120/80 is normal; you would be borderline large BP. How old are you? That seem really high to me. Mine is 120/60, on average. Are you hypertensive? or do you enjoy risk factors? That’s soaring. It’s over normal but not super lofty i’ve been have medicine for soaring blood pressure for a while and i would say that you requirement to get the top integer down tounder 140. The 90 is pretty good. YES!
It CAN inflict a STROKE!! Anything like over 129 over 89 IS HIGH!!
Yes it is soaring but “super” high (whatever that is) .. You should be on medication though. In the first place, you can’t really measure blood pressure so okay as to tell the difference between 145 and 148. You can hold 10 different medical people nick you pressure and they will all get hold of slightly to significantly different answers. 145 or 148 both are way to large.
Your doctor should be trying to do something to get both of your numbers down. Long occupancy exposure to blood pressure this high can impair your heart, circulatory system, kidneys and other organs.
Current thinking is 120/80 is the highest anyone should hold.
If I were you, I would be doing something to capture those numbers down.!!
I thkink you will die

you should look at your blood pressure from when you were similar to 20 years old. this is when you are fully grown and healthiest.. this blood pressure should be your comparison.. so if your blood pressure when you be 20 years old be high, this could be faultlessly normal for you and your body change.. everyone is different. No. The top number is on the higher lapse but not super high. Keep an eye on it. If you are worried speak to your Dr roughly speaking it. The number represent how well your heart pumps blood contained by and out of your heart. A little high is not a big concordat as long as it is not a constant. If it doens’t go rear down then he will probably put you on something. As you can see from these answers, within is some disagreement over what constitutes a “high” reading. I have nearly 135/92 and for a while my MD told me to forget it, but then as time go on he changed his mind. He said newer research was proving more and more that values of over 130 be bad, but especially, values over 90 be definitely impossible. We have be working to keep me below 90 by exercise, losing some weight and medication. If you don’t acquire the numbers down, you could have a stroke – strokes really are the pits. I dont want to business deal with that so I am working on this seriously to add to my chances of not have one!! the bottom number poses a risk for hypertension, your health meticulousness provider needs to discuss treatment option with you and verbs to monitor your blood pressure closely. watz ur age?however tat pressure sims quite glorious to me.
