What happens when your blood pressure goes up

“Perhaps you think you have high blood pressure and you actually don`t…”

I am not sure what you mean when you say that you need a little help/direction before you can start. before you can start what. I am wondering if you mean taking medication. The first thing you have to do is have your doctor actually diagnose you. Perhaps you think you have high blood pressure and you actually don`t. It`s called “the silent killer” for a reason. very few people have any noticeable symptoms when they are experiencing high blood pressure. I know for myself personally when I think it might be very high I take it (I have my own cuff) and I find that it`s OK. At other times I feel very relaxed and calm and take it and it is actually very high. We just cannot depend on our feelings to diagnose our blood pressure levels. You ask what happens when your blood pressure goes up. well, one of the crucial things that happens is that your heart is having to work extremely hard pumping like crazy. This puts a strain on other organs too. I truly believe that there are many things that we can do to help reduce our blood presssure without having to resort to taking medication. However, these can sometimes take a little while and it is best to follow your doctor`s advice initially with medication. You can always reduce that down at a later time when alternate methods begin to work. Meditation is a wonderful way to reduce it. Exercise is amazing as far as how quickly it can bring the blood pressure down. Many of us are very sensitive to salt. I am one of them. If I have a very salty dinner then my blood pressure is always up the next day. Salt doesn`t affect everyone this way, so you would want to monitor yourself to see if you are salt sensitive. Not quite sure what it was you were looking for but I hope some of this helps. Jan Shimano 250-246-3490 www. com <.
